Description

“Alba” is white flower that contrasts very nicely with the blue peruviannas.

Peruvianna is an easy to grow bulb that doesn’t mind neglect but thrives with a bit of extra care.

Very drought tolerant, grows in a range of soils, even wet ones, handles frost and sea winds alike.

The leaves are linear, 20–60 cm long and 1–4 cm broad, with 5-15 leaves produced each autumn-spring. The flowering stem is 15–40 cm tall, bearing a dense pyramidal column of 40-100 flowers.  Leaves die back during summer. Ideal as a cut flower

Bulbs reproduce slowly but seedlings will pop up around the parent plant each winter and look like grass so take care when weeding if you want more.

Seedlings can take 4-5 years to reach first flowering and could be different shades of blue to white.

“Alba” has been vegetatively propergated and bulbs for sale are flowering size.

NOTE: Normally we sell smaller bulbs retail for $12 each so grab yourself a local bargain
